About Nanthology

Welcome to Nanthology, a stitched-together story of chronic illness, creativity, and questioning everything.

I’m Nan, a writer, maker, and lifelong superstar at learning everything I can. I live with Hereditary Alpha Tryptasemia Syndrome (HaTs), menopause, neurodivergance, and the lingering impacts of childhood trauma, all connected in ways that aren’t easy to untangle.

This space is my attempt to unravel the connections out loud.

Nanthology is part personal archive, part storytelling blog — unfiltered, and always evolving. I write about the intersection of chronic illness, hormonal chaos, neurodivergence, and emotional memories — exploring how they blur together.

But this isn’t just about health.

It’s also where I share the creative work that keeps me grounded:

  • Quilting that holds emotional weight in every stitch

  • Crochet projects that offer rhythm and calm

  • Baking wins (and fails) that connect me to ritual

  • DIY projects that give form to chaos

  • And the dogs who love me through it all and keep me present

For me, making things — whether it’s a blog post, a loaf of bread, or a scrappy quilt — is how I reclaim ownership of a body and brain that don’t always play nice.

What ties it all together — the symptoms, the crafts, the stories, the systems I question — is my curiosity and how to make sense of it all. I hope my words may find someone in the process. To tell the truth about what it feels like to live in a body like mine, in a world like this.

If you’re here to learn, vent, laugh, feel seen, or simply fall into a rabbit hole with me, you’re in the right place. I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to say hello or leave a comment — it means a lot to know you stopped by.
